Well, the good news is that it's a spectacular day here in Hanoi. Sunny and hot.
The bad news is that yesterday I finally got my own scooter and our CEO, VP of Maintenance and I were planning to drive to Tam Dao, a National Park just north of Hanoi.

Unfortunately, at 12:52am this morning, that same CEO called and said that we'd have an aircraft out of service today, so we (along with same previously mentioned VP-Maintenance) spent the next three hours trying to figure out how to put four aircraft-lines worth of full flights into three aircraft lines of flying. It's not pretty when you lose one-quarter of your fleet just as the peak summer travel season has begun and you're booked at a load factor of about 75% for the day. We patched together a backup plan as best we could and I got to bed about 4am this morning.
Needless to say, our roadtrip for the day has been cancelled. I'm very bummed but the plan is to try again next weekend.
Too bad your day was spoiled. What would they have done if you hadn't been working in Vietnam?
ReplyDeleteHow far is the Park from Hanoi?
